Air France Business Case

Revolutionizing Aircraft Cabin Maintenance: A Quantifiable Impact.

€480,000 saved yearly only on Inspection Time!

Traditional aircraft cabin maintenance is a time-consuming process, often requiring 16 hours of inspection per aircraft. This extensive process involves manual note-taking, consulting technical documents, and searching for part numbers.

Then, part numbers must be entered in the IT System in order to ensure traceability and deliver the parts in the aircraft.

Our mobile application streamlines this process by empowering mechanics to quickly identify part numbers directly on their devices. This significant reduction in inspection time leads to increased efficiency and cost savings.

Quantifying the Impact

Let's consider a scenario where a mechanic is paid €50 per hour. For a 16-hour inspection, the labor cost per inspection would be:

16 hours/inspection * €50/hour = €800/inspection

With our mobile application, we've observed a 50% reduction in inspection time. This means that the new inspection time is 8 hours. The labor cost for the same inspection with our solution would be:

8 hours/inspection * €50/hour = €400/inspection

The Return on Investment (ROI) for a 100-Aircraft Fleet

For a fleet of 100 aircraft, assuming each aircraft undergoes 12 inspections per year, the total number of inspections per year would be:

100 aircraft * 12 inspections/aircraft = 1,200 inspections/year

The annual labor cost savings for this fleet would be:

(€800/inspection - €400/inspection) * 1,200 inspections = €480,000

By implementing Cabin APP, we achieved a significant 50% reduction in inspection time.
